Mariah Kreutter is a writer living in New York. Her short fiction has appeared in The Drift, Joyland, and The Cleveland Review of Books. Her essays, criticism and reporting have appeared in The New York Times and The Baffler, among other places.

She has been a film critic for Cultured magazine and a newsroom employee at The New York Times, including stints as an editor and newsletter writer.

As of autumn 2024 she is pursuing an MFA in fiction at NYU, supported by the Writers in the Public Schools fellowship.
